DEADLINER !!!

               I'm sure all my friends in college know what a deadliner means even most of them are the deadliners itself including me UpzzZ hehe. So what is the deadliner? Deadliner is one who procrastinates until the actual deadline of task or project. Let me tell you about it based on my experience with some my friends as well. As we know that students in this type often do the task at the last minutes such as a day before the deadline or several hours before the time. Here are the general reasons why someone becomes a deadliner:

1. Duration of submitted is still long. The long distance of deadline make students enjoy the time for doing another activities such as playing game, using social media (FB, BBM, WhatsApp, Instagram, LINE and others social media), sleeping beauty for a while, walking around the environment with friends and watching movie especially korean and malaysian movie for the women. Not only that, some students underestimate the assignment because they think that the assignment is easy so that it can be finished in a short time.

2. Depending on the mood. Motivation can influence student’s mood, the examples is when students in wifi area with the connection they can access the materials and the topic of assignment is interesting. In the other word, if student in good mood or having spirit, it will support them to do the assignment immediately. Otherwise, if they in bad mood or lazy the assignment will be procrastinated.

3. Extra dozen assignments. Every lecturer give a lot of assignments and students getting tired or confused to finish all at the same time. In that case, the students choose which one the urgent assignment or maybe the easy one. Finally the other assignment will be delay and could be done in a day before deadline.

4. Having the power of  kepepet. Almost every college students has experienced on it. The term is commonly used in my unit. We believe that  in an urgency state the whole idea will arise and the assignment can be done in a short time, it a little bit sounds like a magic. That is what we call the power of kepepet. hihihi :D 

               Although most of the deadliner can finish the assignment, some deadliners can not finish it at the time. So, they do not get score of the assignment. Actually, deadliner can not do the assignment maximally because they do in hurry and panic. If students have done it faster with a good preparation so the result will be better. This is also advice for myself as a deadliner. I just like a quote from Courtney Summers “...a deadline should not prevent you from writing, but writing will help prevent you from missing your deadline. Then write a word. Then remind yourself of that again. And then write another and hey, look at you! Yo’re spitting in that deadline’s eye.”

               In last, we need to considere that doing assignments in last minutes as the deadliner is bad type of students. Even the deadliners realize it, they still do it. okay guys,, May we all become better people in doing everythings on time.
